NAZARENE ACRES

Special Report from Fairfield Churchill
Fairfield Fountain of Life
During a month long pastor appreciation emphasis, Pastor Middleton was given a $35/week raise, gifts and showers of love.  On Rally Day, October 25, the church had 23 in attendance.  They also have a new arrival Addison Jone Chuchill (right) born November 2, 2009.

Monticello Nazarene Church decided that instead of honoring Pastor John Francis and his wife Donna for only one day, we would honor them every Sunday for the whole month.
On the first Sunday, they received a gift certificate from Dairy Queen and a Pastor's and wife's plaque from the Missionary Department.
On the second Sunday a gift certificate to a local restaurant, "4 Ravens".
The third Sunday, they received a Kohl's department store certificate, which our Pastor's wife really loves.
We ended the month with a certificate to the new "Old Chicago" style restaurant in Champaign.
On Sunday evening Oct. 25, we had a Mexican Dinner with all of the decorations to match. A pinata was the highlight of the evening.  We had a lot of fun trying to break it. Our teens and kids and even Pastor and Donna took turns. A song was composed and sung by two of our church ladies and Donna honoring Pastor.  Three brave souls performed a Mexican Hat Dance.
We at Monticello want Pastor and Donna to know how much we love and appreciate them for all that they do for us.
We feel very blessed with their love towards us and their love and dedication to God.
We look forward to what God has fur us, may He find us faithful.

Thank You. Just a note to say, your kindness really made my day!
The Flowers are beautiful. It is a tall arrangement, perfect for small spaces.
We are all enjoying them.

"Mary and I are grateful to the wonderful people at Laclede for the beautiful card and gift for us for Pastor's Appreciation Month.
We have been at Laclede only a short time as interim pastor doing the morning services. (Pastor Mike and Joan Ice do the evening services) and we have found a very warm and wonderful people.  They are optimistic and forward looking although they lost their pastor of 9 years, Rev. Black, in a sudden and tragic manner.  They are trusting the Lord for the future."         ---  Dr. Bill Chenault

RUSH MEMORIAL Activities & Events

God has truly blessed us here at Rush Memorial by allowing us to be of service to our homeless community by extending a helping hand to those in need, as well as being of service to others in the area.

In October, we met with Mrs. Shelia Burton, who is the director of the Education Advocacy Project, to present them with a gift of thanks for their continued efforts in working with the children and families of School District #189 in East St. Louis, IL.Image1rush

November proved to be even more of a blessing for the Rush Memorial Church family.  Every year for the past 22 years, with help and donations of food & willing, dedicated workers, Rush Memorial has sponsored their Pre-Thanksgiving “Feed the Community” dinner, where we open our hearts and doors to those who are living on the streets, low income families and to anyone in need of a hot meal and a word from the Lord.   It is always held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  This year’s turnout was a huge success.
